A contract dispute between Delaware North, the casino’s owner, and its WV sports betting partner, Miomni left the casino without a sportsbook. Now, Delaware North is in search of a new partner to supply sports betting services to the property.

While it was live, bettors could bet on football, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, boxing, tennis, auto racing and mixed martial arts at the Wheeling Island sportsbook. Straights, parlays, teasers, props, and futures are available.

There are 20 table games at Wheeling Island. It is home to the only double deck blackjack game in the state. The minimum bet is $15 or $25, depending on the time and day. Players may double down before and after splitting. The dealer hits soft 17. There are eight-deck blackjack tables with the same rules with a $15 minimum.

Craps has a $10 minimum bet. It offers ten times odds. The field pays double on 12.

Roulette, Three Card Poker and Let It Ride and Pai Gow Poker are spread at Wheeling Island. The minimum for each is $10.

The Point

The Point offers a wide variety on its menu. It is open for dinner daily. The raw bar menu consists of oysters and tuna. There is also shrimp cocktail and crabmeat cocktail. Other appetizers include crab cake and calamari.

The house specialties include a tomahawk ribeye for two, sirloin oscar and whole lobster. The steak menu has New York strip, ribeye, porterhouse and filet mignon. The seafood menu offers salmon, scallops, halibut, bass and twin lobster tails.

Buffet

The buffet is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. The price on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays is $15.99. Friday is seafood frenzy night, with a price of $26.99. Saturday has prime rib for $18.99. Sunday brunch is $18.99. Breakfast is served on Saturday mornings for $9.99.

Quick Bites

The food court serves a breakfast buffet Monday through Friday. There is a pizza joint, deli and burgers for lunch and dinner. The racetrack has a concession stand that serves items like hot dogs, burgers and nachos. This snack bar is only open on race days. There is a coffee bar in the food court that is open 24 hours a day.

Wheeling Island hotel

There are 151 hotel rooms at Wheeling Island. Rates start at $122 on weeknights. Weekends are about $20 more. There are two types of rooms. One is a Deluxe room. The other is a Pure room. The Deluxe room is the base. A Pure room is about $25 more per night and has a special air filtration system.

All hotel rooms are non-smoking. They come with a coffee maker, air purifier, free wireless internet and a flat screen television.
