Sportsbooks Feature WVU Football And Basketball, Along With NFL Week 13 Odds

Posted on December 4, 2020

This weekend is another exciting one for sports bettors in the Mountain State.

West Virginia sportsbooks include several great markets to wager on, headlined by both WVU games.

On Saturday, the Mountaineers football team battles No. 9 Iowa State. WVU is looking to grab its sixth victory of the season after its previous game against Oklahoma was postponed.

The Mountaineers are now scheduled to take on OU to finish their year at home on Dec. 12.

WVU basketball is also in action again. Following a narrow loss to No. 1 Gonzaga, coach Bob Huggins and his squad will look to right the ship on the road at Georgetown.

Sunday also features another interesting slate of games in the NFL’s Week 13.

The Cleveland Browns are playing in one of the bigger contests of the weekend, as they travel to Tennessee in an important AFC tilt.

Let’s take a look at all of the best games this weekend and breakdown the odds available at WV online sportsbook apps.

WVU Mountaineers’ Odds

WVU backers have a big weekend upcoming, with both the football team and men’s basketball team in action.

Football fans are thrilled WVU is back on the gridiron following two straight weeks without a game. The Mountaineers face a difficult test, however, as they travel to play one of the best teams in the Big 12.

Iowa State is a quality football team, which can score points in a variety of ways.

Quarterback Brock Purdy is among some of the top players in the nation at his position, and running back Breece Hall ranks second in the country in rushing yards.

The Mountaineers’ defense must be prepared to play or else Iowa State will take full advantage. It’s averaging nearly 40 points per game in its last four.

DraftKings Sportsbook shows this game being tight. It lists Iowa State as the betting favorite, laying -6 points in the spread.

You can bet on the Cyclones’ moneyline of -230, or for the Mountaineers to win outright at +185.

The online sportsbook has this game’s total set at 49.5 points.

DraftKings also includes several other markets for this game. You’re able to wager on the first-half odds, with WVU receiving +3.5 in the spread.

The Mountaineers’ first-half moneyline is at +150, while Iowa State’s odds are -205.

Residents near Morgantown can wager on WVU hoops this weekend, as well. It plays a road game on Sunday afternoon at Georgetown.

The Mountaineers started off the season at a perfect 3-0 by winning the Crossover Classic. They then lost a very close affair to the top-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs on Wednesday night in the Jimmy V Classic.

Although WV sportsbooks don’t have odds up for this game just yet, it’s safe to say WVU will be favored.

The Hoyas are 1-1 on the early season after falling to Navy in their last game.

According to ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, WVU has a 71% chance of earning the W.

WV sportsbooks will offer odds for this game in the next day or so.

Betting On NFL Week 13

Besides WVU basketball, bettors are sure to tune into another great day of games in the NFL on Sunday. Since there is just about a month remaining in the regular season, some of these matchups will have implications on the playoff picture.

The local side in the Cleveland Browns are right in the middle of things in the AFC. They won their third consecutive game last week by defeating the lowly Jaguars by two points.

Cleveland will now take its 8-3 mark on the road against the Titans. Tennessee is 8-3 as well, and is regarded as one of the top contenders in the conference.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Titans favored by almost an entire touchdown. It has the home side laying -6, whereas the Browns are getting +6.

The online sportsbook shows Tennessee’s moneyline at -255, while Cleveland’s moneyline odds are +215.

FanDuel allows you to wager on a bunch of different team, player, and game props. It has the following odds for what the winning margin of this game will be:

  • Titans 1-13 points +140
  • Titans 14+ points +185
  • Browns 1-13 points +260
  • Browns 14+ points +1000

The late-afternoon games are highlighted by the tussle between the Rams and Cardinals.

Both sides feature winning records and hopes of taking down Seattle for the NFC West crown.

Although Los Angeles and Arizona are performing well this year, each lost a week ago in disappointing fashion.

FanDuel likes the Rams to bounce back on the road, as they are giving -3 in the spread. Their moneyline is shown at -152, while the Cardinals are the home underdog with odds of +128.

Bettors can put action down on first-half moneylines, too. The Rams are at -144, and the Cardinals’ odds are +118 to be up at the half.

Additional NFL Odds

Washington Football Team +8 (Moneyline: +340) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers -8 (Moneyline: -430)

Cincinnati Bengals +11.5 (Moneyline: +440) vs. Miami Dolphins -11.5 (Moneyline: -590)

Baltimore Ravens -7.5 (Moneyline: -375) vs. Dallas Cowboys +7.5 (Moneyline: +300)

College Football Betting At WV Sportsbooks

As the calendar turns to December, there are only a few weeks left of the college football season. Besides the WVU game, there is plenty of other great action on Saturday.

In the Big Ten, No. 16 Wisconsin hosts No. 12 Indiana. Unfortunately, the Hoosiers are without their starting quarterback for the rest of the year after suffering an injury last week.

This had a massive impact at sportsbooks, as Indiana is now a sizable underdog.

BetMGM Sportsbook lists the Hoosiers receiving +14.5 in the spread, with a moneyline of +425. Of course, you can bet on the Badgers giving the points, or their moneyline of -600.

Later on in the day, two teams that have exceeded expectations will get together when No. 13 BYU plays No. 18 Coastal Carolina.

The Cougars feature one of the top quarterback prospects in the country in Zach Wilson. The junior is flying up mock draft boards lately thanks to his impressive statistics.

Wilson is completing over 74% of his passes, along with throwing 26 touchdowns against just two interceptions.

BYU is attempting to move up the rankings for the College Football Playoff with a noteworthy victory.

BetMGM has the Cougars giving -10 in the point spread, with a moneyline of -350. Coastal Carolina is getting the spread at home, while its moneyline odds are at +275.

This contest should be an exciting one for neutral fans, as the online sportsbook is projecting lots of scoring. It set the game’s total at 61 points.
