WVU football has a week to enjoy its double-overtime win over Baylor before getting back into action on Oct. 17 against Kansas. That doesn’t mean there’s no football to bet on of local interest in the Mountain State, however, as the NFL battle for Pennsylvania is set for Sunday afternoon.
The 2020 version of the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Pittsburgh Steelers tilt may not be the only game of interest for WV sports betting fans this weekend. Other teams in neighboring states each other as well.

There’s reason to like the over this week. The Over is 2-0 in Steelers home games this season. Additionally, the Over hit in five of the Eagles’ past six road games.
Pittsburgh has averaged 48 points per game at home in that small sample. However, Philadelphia’s defense showed what it’s capable of in its victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
The Steelers might have the firepower to overcome that with a healthy Diontae Johnson lining up wide. If Pittsburgh’s defensive line can harass Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, the spread could be larger than a touchdown.
Philadelphia has covered in six of its last eight road games as the underdog, so keep that in mind. This 1 p.m. ET game on FOX might have you flipping between it and another matchup of regional NFL teams at the same time on CBS.
The lines on other regional NFL games for WV bettors
The Cincinnati Bengals could get a statement win on the road against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday. Sportsbooks don’t like their chances, however. As of Friday morning, William Hill doesn’t even have markets live for the contest online.
